This past August, Hurricane Ida ripped through Louisiana, causing catastrophic damage for communities throughout Southern Louisiana. Lower-income residents were hit especially hard, with many still struggling more than three months later to get back on their feet and return to any semblance of normalcy. Having grown up surrounded by the kind-hearted people of New Orleans, Beau was propelled by his fond memories of the area to do something to help.

RRB Partners, under Beau’s direction, has been actively planning a fundraising event targeted toward 100 select professionals within the commercial real estate industry. Due to Covid-19 concerns, the New Orleans-based event will not be held until Mardi Gras weekend. However, preparations have kept Beau very busy for the past few months. His passion for the cause and his desire to help those in need have driven Beau to be involved in the event’s planning every step of the way.

In true support of the event’s fundraising efforts, Beau has made an in-kind donation totaling upwards of $40,000 to cover event-related expenses, including space rental, food and beverage, décor and more. His generous contribution will help ensure that all donations collected at the event go directly to charity and are not used to cover any expenses. Still wanting to do even more to help, Beau has also made a significant pledge on behalf of RRB Partners to encourage fellow commercial real estate professionals to do the same. Understanding the long-term need for lower-income communities in Louisiana, Beau plans to turn the fundraiser, which will be captured on video for continuing donation requests, into an annual event.

“New Orleans has always felt like a second home for us, and after the disaster of Hurricane Ida in 2021, we wanted to help support the local community that we have always loved. We have had a long-standing relationship with Habitat for Humanity and wanted to support a local charity that was aligned with our mission. We hope this Mardi Gras event will bring a lot of attention to this amazing organization that that it helps the local community.”
